GripCity Socks

GripCity is a sock company on a mission to provide grip socks to anyone needing a little extra support. Back in 2018, founder (and PHBK client) Ariel Davis was on a quest to find the perfect grip sock when all the popular brands just weren’t getting the job done. The stakes were raised way above the initial goal of finding the perfect Barre class grip sock when Ariel found herself facing a serious mental health crisis. (Click here to read Ariel’s story). During her recovery, Ariel became dedicated to creating a sock that could provide comfort and grip to anyone looking for a little extra support, “whether you’re working out, working from home, or working through tough times.” Today, GripCity is proud to make high quality, custom grip socks that give back. Through its partnerships with  New York State Office of Mental Health’s Suicide Prevention Center of New York (SPCNY) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness-NYC, GripCity distributes Care Kits containing hospital-approved grip socks and other resources for New Yorkers impacted by mental health crises.
